Molue Series 2

Few days ago, I posted a poem dedicated to the symbolic people's carrier titled molue. Well, I'm embarking on a molue series! It may sound weird but, it's my little way of contributing to the campaign against this angel of death parading the roads. Once again, I doff my hat with a poem to Naija's very own automobile. The greatest and most affordable armoured people's carrier.

Let's Stop This Menace

The Golden fleece
Iconic Landmark of the 70's
A house built on a chasis
Uncontrolled by  speed limits.

With a horn rival to a ship's
Desperately fighting for its relevance.
Desecrating our flawless peace
A symbol of the forgotten years

Deeply entrenched in our history
An automobile that finds its mates
 In the museum of misery
Rather than on the streets of lagos.

44 seating
99 standing
People suffering and smiling
Disillusioned by a price reducing.

One of the seven wonders of Nigeria
Unrepentantly and irrepressibly overbearing
Steering wheels equivalent to tire wheels
Indeed, a corruption of the word
"Maul Him".
