Check Your Expiry Date.

Just like drugs, human beings have an expiry date but, unlike drugs, they have multifarious expiry dates for each phase of their life. After reading this article, you may be surprised that although you are successful in life, you are an expired product.

An expiry date denotes the time at which a particular product is no longer useful. For a human however, an expiry date is not the time of death but a point in time when you are no longer needed or relevant in a particular place. In other words, you have overstayed your visit and you need to find fulfilment somewhere else. As the saying goes, when purpose is not known, abuse is inevitable.

Have you been pinned down at a position or maybe at a place of work to the extent that your work has become monotonous and unfulfilling? Do you feel overqualified for your current position? Then you have expired for that position; you have expired for that unfulfilling job. You are overadequate for where you are. You need find fulfillment and relevance where you are needed.

A young graduate who had been searching for a job met a man who handed him over to a branch manager of one of the foremost banks in Nigeria. The manager asked him: "what's your age young man?" He replied: "I'm 29 years sir". The shock Titanic received when it hit the ice berg was incomparable to the paralysis that came over the young man when he was told: "I appreciate the fact that you did not falsify your age but the position you are seeking for is only available to those of not more than 27 years of age." The young man was an expired product!

Examine your life today and find relevance,
